Students will explore the basics of acting, singing, and dancing, all while learning the importance of teamwork and supporting their castmates. Students will also discover the exciting history of musical theatre, with a focus on iconic Broadway moments that have shaped the stage. The class will culminate in a final showcase performance for friends and family, where kids will have the chance to shine as they perform what they've learned! Perfect for young performers looking to build confidence and develop their skills in a supportive environment.!

Explore characters and relationships, plot lines and subplots, objectives, obstacles and actions in this essential class for any actor! Dive into a variety of script genres (comedy, drama, classical, contemporary), staging options (proscenium, thrust, alley, in the round and site specific) and narrative styles (classical, heightened language and contemporary, conversational dialogue). This exciting class will uncover how all the world’s a stage!

Acting Up! Theatre Workshop
Bennington Nebraska

Get ready to take center stage in Acting Up! In this hands-on acting acts, students will work Goethe to rehearse and bring a full show to life in just six classes! From the first script read-through to final performance, students will dive into character development, plot creation, and teamwork as they prepare for the public performance.

Public performance will be held at St. John’s Lutheran Church, 322 N Morley Street, Bennington NE on May 7th. Details coming soon! Registration opens November 1, 2024.


2024 Summer Residencies included classes with Boys Town Research Camp, Boys Town Creative Expression Class, Bellevue Public Schools Kids’ Time Program and District 66’s Club 66.
